Description
Your
work here has just begun! Now
that you have chosen to undergo the Metamorphosis experience, you may discover
that memories that you have not had for years suddenly reappear.
These can be memories from a year ago, or as far back as when you were
three. Memories almost always
contain images of an event and characters who were featured in that event. For
example, you may remember a time in primary school when you were awarded a prize
for achievement, or you may remember being three years old and receiving
punishment for something you did wrong. These
memories may be both negative and positive, or both. Memories occur to us as a message from our past minds to
assist us in learning and mastering emotions.
When, however, there are still things to be learned, these memories will
continue to resurface until such time as we choose to entertain them fully and
learn what we must. Naturally,
the older we get, the more memories we have.
With each passing year, memories that are further back in time, often
become a little hazy and foggy, and of course the more of these kinds of
memories we do not deal with, the more whirling mass of chaos can ensue.
You choose to ignore these messages, but in all likelihood you are only
going to harm yourself, and prevent freedom from these pains. Memories
generally flood back when we are indulging in alone time, quiet peaceful time,
and so they should, for that is when you are at your most receptive and in
possession of all the tools you require to deal with them.
If memories are haunting you, then it’s time to take heed of them, and
deal with them effectively, to enhance the Metamorphosis healing. Sit
quietly on your own, and create in your mind a filing system of your own design.
This filing system may be a book with an alphabetical index, or it may be
drawers listed alphabetically. You
may use picture icons for your alphabetical index, it may be a rolodex,
whichever you decide on, it is your own filing system so should be created in a
way that you understand and are able to access quickly. When
a memory comes to mind, allow the memory to play through to its end.
See the characters and events, and with that information, will come the
emotion you felt in association with that memory.
This emotion can be apathy, boredom, compassion, caring, caressing,
depression, despair, despondency, elation, excitement, fear, love, anxiety, or
any other. There will generally be
one strong emotion you felt with each memory.
Once the script of that memory has played out, and you have established
the emotion you felt at that event, write in one concise word that which best
describes the emotion. Then see
yourself taking that word and filing it appropriately in your filing system.
Then you are free to forget about it. The
act of filing this emotion is granting access to your higher consciousness to
work on the emotion. The higher
consciousness is ultimately wise and will sort through the emotion and thereby
create great healing. As this
emotion is healed, you will discover that the memory will no longer threaten
overwhelming emotions and that the next time you experience the emotion you will
have gained control of it, as opposed to it controlling you. Repeat
the process as often as you think necessary, and allow yourself to be set free.
